TTBB, arranged by the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA) | Download Version | This traditional song first appeared in the Society’s Songs for Men Book 6, released to the membership in 1953. there were twelve such song books from 1948 through 1961, representing most of the official published arrangements of barbershop harmony available from SPEBSQSA. After reviewing 160 songs in the twelve books, a consensus of opinion indicated some of the songs should be made available again—not only for old times’ sake, but because many new barbershoppers have never sung some of the “hits” of years past. This arrangement has been revised a bit from the way Tom Grove transcribed it “as sung by The Volunteers of Baltimore, MD” in the early 1950s. | Thanks to Society Volunteer Mike Rosen for converting this arrangement from the original octavo format!
