I'd really like to get Jim Clancy's thoughts on this ... Verse #1 strongly references the Old Testament and David's relationship with God. Verse #3 is obviously Clancy's New Testament reference to Christ, the living God. Verse #2, in its entirety, had no meaningful bridge lyrics between the Old Testament and Clancy's new verse ... it needed to fully embrace and tie both eras ... The guys agreed that, if we were to sing it, it had to have a full and continuous thought to convey ... I used to live alone before I knew you. Then my soul was raised from depths below, God’s face and love I came to know, without Him, it’s a lonely hallelujah. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = I thought I'd offer it up to your review for other buyers.
